It began in 1943. Three men involved with the Thai-Burma railway. One an Australian
surgeon, one an Australian machine gunner and the other a Thai trader. The
Quiet Lions details the lives of Sir Edward "Weary Dunlop" and Thai trader, Boon
Pong along with one man's obsession to have their story told.
Making this remarkable documentary had been ex-Prisoner of War, Keith Flanagan's
lifelong quest. "I was honoured to be asked by Keith to produce this film", said
Robin Newell of Thought Films.
